The high impact force produced by the Allied Street Hammers is produced from two sources - compressed nitrogen gas "pre-charge" and hydraulic oil pressure. The Street Hammer's impact frequency or "blows per minute" (BPM) is controlled by the amount of oil flowing through the hammer.
Nitrogen "pre-charge", oil pressure, and oil flow are all important elements for Street Hammer™ performance. These settings must be checked following any complaint of low performance. Please see the AS Street Hammer™ Nitrogen Pre-Charge Settings for proper "pre-charge" settings.
In addition, any Street Hammer™ working beyond its maximum oil flow and pressure setting is in danger of reduced life and reliability. For maximum performance, refer to the table below listing the flow and pressure values by 'AS' model. Notice the specifications list a minimum to maximum range. The highest Street Hammer™ performance is achieved at the maximum setting, but all AS Street Hammers can maintain satisfactory production when operated at the lesser settings of the range.
