Lubricating the demolition tool and wear bushings may be the single most important maintenance item on any make of hydraulic hammer. Extreme temperatures and moment loads dictate the need of a lubricant robust enough not to melt and substantial enough to resist vibrating down the shank of the tool during operation.
To fulfill the above mentioned requirements, Allied Construction Products, offers a lubricant called Chisel Paste. Chisel paste is a high temperature, moly-based, open gear type lube. It contains graphite and copper particles to provide superior wear resistance between the tool and wear bushings. This lubricant is designed for use in hammers only, and should not be used on any other type of equipment as damage may result.
Allied also offers Allied Underwater Chisel Paste which is designed as an Environmentally Responsible alternative to be used in underwater applications.
Allied Underwater Chisel Paste represents the most advanced lubricant technology. It is a pure synthetic, waterproof lubricant formulated to provide maximum parts protection in adverse conditions of extreme loads where water washout is present. Underwater Chisel Paste is U.S.D.A. H-1 rated which gives it full acceptability for use in areas where potable water contact may occur. It does not contain any lead, chlorine, phosphorous, sulfur, chromates, antimony, benzene, free metallic or other potentially hazardous ingredients that my harm the environment.
All Allied automatic lubricators will accept and disperse both Standard and Underwater Chisel Paste.
