The Allied Ho-Pac is a boom mounted, hydraulic powered, vibrating plate compactor and driver. Down force from the carrier provides a preload force to effectively transfer the vibratory energy, developed by the dynamic assembly portion of the unit, into the material being compacted. The suspension system, or rubber mounts, suspend and isolate the dynamic assembly from the mounting frame.
IMPORTANT! - The rubber mounts should not be overstressed by compressing the mounting frame until it contacts the base plate, or by lifting objects with the base plate. The rubber mounts should only be deflected by an amount equal to one-half their diameter.
While the rubber mounts are designed to provide long service life, overstressing the mount can initiate tears or separations in the rubber material. Both matching the Ho-Pac to the compatible size carrier and following proper operating practices can help deter unnecessary unit damage and extend component life.
